license & trial
One-time purchase, 7-day free trial, three devices, 14 days of offline grace.
yapyap is a one-time purchase — no subscription. The local AI runs on your machine, so there's no per-month server bill to pass on to you.
the trial
The free trial gives you the full app for 7 days. It needs an email address and nothing else — no card. You get a trial key that activates like a normal license and simply expires after a week.
activating
On a fresh install you'll meet the activation screen: paste your license key, press Activate, done. Purchase and trial checkout both open in your system browser, and the success page hands you the key.
A license is good for 3 devices at once. Moving to a new machine? Free a slot first — deactivate from the old install, or manage your devices in the customer portal (same place you re-download installers).
offline behaviour
Activation is the one thing that talks to a server (Polar, the payment provider). yapyap is built to stay honest about it:
- Once activated, the app checks the license in the background — never blocking your work.
- No internet? You get a 14-day grace period. A network failure or a laptop that's simply offline never locks you out.
- The only thing that blocks the app is an explicit rejection — a revoked or expired key. "Couldn't reach the server" is never treated as "no license".
